Disc 08: Math B
Disc 8 extends the 'math concepts' approach, with examples of more advanced functions, probability and combination problems, logical statements, and compound interest. The bulk of this disc, however, is devoted to geometry as it is tested on the SAT. This disc is especially helpful to students who may have had trouble with geometry as it is presented in high school. For example, although proofs are not covered, area, length, slope, volume, special right triangles, similar triangles, arcs, sectors, volume, surface area, and perimeter are all explored--and these are all covered in the way they are tested on the SAT.
